Melanie is an experienced speech-language pathologist who received her B.S. and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Christian University. She specializes in evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic support for all patients.  She is the president and owner of Medanich Speech Language Pathologists and has extensive experience with the pediatric and adolescent populations.

Melanie's areas of expertise include articulation/phonological disorders, phonemic awareness deficits, sensory integration dysfunction, all aspects of receptive/expressive language disorders, auditory processing and nonverbal language as well as pragmatic disorders. She has addressed the speech and language needs of children with learning differences and a variety of associated medical diagnoses, including: attention deficit disorders, apraxia, neurological impairment, chronic otitis media, developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. She provides both parent and teacher training for all patients.

Melanie is a member of the Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association (TSHA), the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas. She has served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Children's Medical Center since 2001.
