Karen Brown, M.S., CCC-SLP:  Karen is an experienced speech language pathologist who received her B.S. from Central Connecticut State University and her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida State University.  She specializes in evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic support for all patients.

Karen has extensive experience with the pediatric through geriatric populations in private clinics, acute rehabilitation, long-term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home health care.  Her areas of expertise include articulation/phonological disorders, all aspects of receptive/expressive language disorders, auditory processing, and nonverbal language as well as pragmatic disorders.  She has addressed the speech and language needs of children with learning differences and a variety of associated medical diagnoses including:  attention deficit disorders, developmental disabilities, apraxia, chronic otitis media, neurological impairment, sensory integration dysfunction, and autism spectrum disorders.    She also has experience in adult neurogenic swallowing, voice, cognitive communicative disorders, and more than 10 years of experience performing modified barium swallow studies.

Karen is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
